What an exciting day! It was brilliant to see so many Year 6s dressed up for World Book Day. We enjoyed playing a character themed 'Guess Who' and creating our own stories with the random characters who had visited Shawclough! It was hilarious! Some children made beautiful bookmarks with Miss Caldecott, who kindly laminated them, whilst others took part in performance poetry.
Well done Year 6!

This week I'm reading David Walliam's Grandpa's Great Escape. It's so funny, I can't wait to get home from school to read it. Grandpa might be outrage, quirky and forgetful ( just like me) but I've got a feeling he is going to come to the rescue - he might even save the day! As with all his book, this one is again overflowing with humour, adventure and excitement. Although I have yet to finish it, I highly recommend you read it. It will not disappoint you.
